Noise and Music

How would you know if the sound is a noise or music? You could definitely identify each by the quality of it. If it’s pleasant to our ears, then it is considered as music. If it’s not, then one may treat it as noise.

However, based on study, it still depends on someone’s threshold of hearing whether the sound is pleasant or not. If it exceeded the threshold of hearing then one might consider the sound as noise.

Sometimes it also depends on the quality of the sound produce. Like for instance, in a party or gathering, the sound system could amplify the music at a higher level, but as it gets louder, the music becomes unpleasant to ear due to the unbalanced sound it produces.

Yes, that idea is true but it also depends on the kind of sound system used. Quality amplifier such as fryette amp at musicians friend could definitely produce the quality of an ideal sound perfectly designed for musicians.

The bottom line is, there are different factors that must be considered in order for someone to identify whether the sound is a noise or music. (AAP)

Standing Up For Music

Several years ago, my bestfriend asked me to go with her to watch a movie. Guess what? This was not just an ordinary Sci-Fi or love story film; neither a horror nor a drama but the filmography of one of the icons of the 21st century. I bet you already heard the term Bieber Fever. Yes, the film that we watched was the life of Justin Bieber entitled Justin Bieber: Never Say Never.

This may sound awkward because we watched it not just in a regular movie screening but in 3D. Whoa! Justin Bieber in 3D! Forgive me but she’s my bestfriend, and by the way, she got the tickets and we haven’t paid for anything because she won it in a contest.

On second thought and to tell you honestly, Justin Bieber’s life was interesting. They’ve presented the video clips from the time that Justin was starting his career until Usher has discovered him. His parents motivated him as a performer because they saw a potential to their child.

When Justin was just starting his career, he joined several contests and he performed in their school programs as well. He even performed along the streets just to showcase his talent alone with the used of his voice and a guitar amplifier similar to behringer amplifier at Musicians Friend. At this stage of his career, you could not only see the potential but his eagerness to be in the industry.

I think that’s one of the keys to be successful in this kind of passion. You have to show your big heart that you want to share your talent willingly. You have to stand up for the music you are willing to play in your life. You have to bear in mind that even if nobody is actually listening to your music or paying attention to what you are doing, there will always be someone who would appreciate that which could be reason to keep on moving forward! Instagram Photo Exhibit at The Podium

At first, I’m really not into Instagram application because for me it’s just redundant with Facebook. However, since I’m a blogger and I need to be updated with the current trending application, I must equip myself of such technology. Well I considered Instagram as a hip and a unique way of sharing photos with your friends. With that being said, I can say that this application tells stories within pictures. This is now my own definition of Instagram.

Sometime last year August to September, I’ve had a privilege to take a glimpse of the Instagram photo exhibit at the 2nd level of The Podium mall. This exhibit was capped as Instagram Project: A Digital Art Exhibition.

In this exhibit, it featured twelve (12) of the trending persona of the local media from bloggers to DJ, to photographer, to TV celebrity and so on. They were the following: Lori Baltazar, Kim Jones, Alessandra Lanot, Mano Lotho, Roy Macam, Sid Maderazo, Poma Malantic, Rissa Manaquil Trillo, Andi Manzano, Dee Jae Pa Este, Vince Uy, and Tim Yap. The Importance of Quality Sound

Have you noticed that even if the music that is being played over the speaker is classic but the quality of the sound it produces is bad, the essence of a classical song or music is not being appreciated? Well, that’s one of the importance of a good speaker, to produce an elegant sound that would perfectly fit the music.

I’m not only pertaining to huge speakers that are being used in events such as convention or concerts. I’m also considering even the small speakers that we use in our home theatre or components or even the external speakers that we used for our notebooks.

There are speakers that may look good outside and could produce quality sound when the music that is played in low volume, hence when the volume has been set to its maximum the music becomes noise if the speakers could not amplify the sound that it should be. That’s why we often hear the guests or audience in a party that they are not enjoying the party anymore because all they could hear is bass and treble instead of music. Perhaps, I believe that quality speakers such as cool jbl speakers may be afar from their competitor since it is from the makers of excellent sound manufacturer company, JBL.

Like what I said, no matter how lovely or hip the music you’re playing in an event, but if the speakers are not that good in producing quality output, then it’s better to stop the party and casual conversation may be a better substitute! (AAP)

Every ticking is Important

When I was in college I have a professor who said she can barely undress everything but not her wristwatch because that’s how important time to her.

Her statement pretty much coincides with her personality since she is a well-disciplined woman. She was always on time during our classes. If ever she’ll be late, she’ll inform us ahead of time. She inspired me somehow on how to value every minute.

Like her, I also value my time. I have this wristwatch which I bought four years ago. Unfortunately, I lost it just last month while on my way to an album launching of a friend. This made me feel uncomfortable because everytime I look at my wrist, I was always wondering how much time was wasted. However, I am thankful because just last weekend my mom gave me a new wristwatch.

For me, if you care about a person like your family members or your special someone, you may want to consider buying them a special gift like a wristwatch. Your dad, your brother or your partner might appreciate gifts like Movado bold men’s watches. You’re not only helping them to value their time but you could definitely help them to become productive.

The clock could tell us the importance of every moment, of every ticking. It helps us to prioritize our day to day activities. Perhaps no one could ever notice when the time is wasted until it’s gone. (AAP)

Fibr Home’s Most Powerful Broadband

How fast? How furious? When it comes to internet connection, speed is what matters most! The faster your connection, the more you could maximize your time.

Imagine, if you are a writer or blogger like me, or let’s say you are a student who is finishing a project or assignment using your notebook and you want to possess that full concentration on what you’re doing, then you might want to listen to the latest and relaxing music via YouTube. Hence, in order for your notebook to perform efficiently, you must connect it to the internet, but what if you’re doing some research and downloading videos at the same time, I don’t think you could still play any YouTube video properly because downloading videos or music takes much of the bandwidth, and researching might takes quite sometime too depending on the traffic of the webpage you are visiting.

I can still remember the time when we connect to the internet thirteen (13) or twelve (12) years ago, we were using dial up connection that breaks up everytime there’s an incoming call since it’s only connected via the telephone. So if you are streaming a video, you will most likely be disconnected. Quite a frustration, huh! Thus, the internet speed during that time was not that acceptable for video streaming, but sufficient only for research and email.

When I was still studying in college, my professor told me that there are different ways to connect to the internet; hence dial-up is just one of them. There’s this so-called Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) wherein you could connect to the internet 10 times faster than dial-up, but the thing is you’ll have a monthly bill. Furthermore, our professor shared to us that big companies are using a dedicated leased line in order for them to compete well for their business using twisted pair of cables.

But the demand for speed connection is tremendously growing, as social networking sites become part of human need. Apparently, the internet facilities are now being connected using Fiber Optics. With the use of light waves, it could transmit a significant amount of data from one area to the other in a micro or even in nanoseconds.

How useful is your gadget if you are not connected to a high speed internet? Well, it’s just as plain as your regular planner, calendar or To-Do list or Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) – I don’t know if you’re still familiar with this gadget.

How would the odds be in your favor if you had a Fibr connection? If you have a business, then it’s like bridging a personal connection to your prospects or potential customers. On the otherhand, if you’re planning to subscribe for a Fibr connection at home, it’s pretty much like bringing your family closer together because the faster everyone can complete their tasks like doing the assignments (browsing of multiple websites), accomplishing online jobs, then the family members can have a quality time with one another inside their home by streaming hundreds of blockbuster movies on-demand from Clickplay or by watching Cignal Digital TV Channels. This service is now available in over 800 fiber-powered villages nationwide.

Interested in the advantages of this great technology? Well you could visit www.pldthome.com or call 101-FIBR (3427) for more details. (AAP)

Rock Musical

Last night, my busy schedule has given me the privilege to watch a Musical Stage Play entitled Maxie The Musical based on an independent film last 2005.

The story was great and the actors who played each of the characters have nailed it almost perfectly. What were more magical in this production were the lyrics of the songs and the appropriate arrangement of it that fit in the actors’ vocal range. I also noticed the fantastic musical instruments playing at the background which accompanied the actors.

The musicians played each these instruments as one but the quality of it still reverberates to one’s ear individually. For instance, when the electric guitar like the epiphone les paul classic at m123, is played with the keyboard, it plays a certain note where it unites with the sound produced by the keyboard.

I’m an artist, and music and arts are my passions in life. My first love of my life is singing and the second one is writing! I’m thankful to God for blessing me with talents that I’ll treasure forever in my life. (AAP)
