Noise and Music

How would you know if the sound is a noise or music? You could definitely identify each by the quality of it. If it’s pleasant to our ears, then it is considered as music. If it’s not, then one may treat it as noise.

However, based on study, it still depends on someone’s threshold of hearing whether the sound is pleasant or not. If it exceeded the threshold of hearing then one might consider the sound as noise.

Sometimes it also depends on the quality of the sound produce. Like for instance, in a party or gathering, the sound system could amplify the music at a higher level, but as it gets louder, the music becomes unpleasant to ear due to the unbalanced sound it produces.

Yes, that idea is true but it also depends on the kind of sound system used. Quality amplifier such as fryette amp at musicians friend could definitely produce the quality of an ideal sound perfectly designed for musicians.

The bottom line is, there are different factors that must be considered in order for someone to identify whether the sound is a noise or music. (AAP)
