Water for Life

Water is considered to be one of the ancient elements in Greek Philosophy. Hence for us human beings, it is part of the basic necessities of life. Without water, we will definitely die!

But do you know that aside from the life-giving factors of water, it is also used to encourage positive vibes in a place, home and to the persons. Well, water is used in Feng Shui to attract the positive energy to something. Literally, the term Feng Shui is translated in English as “wind-water”.

There are lots of beliefs about the use of water like the one I read from a book: if you are preparing for an examination and you want to attain that full concentration with the books that you are reading, all you have to do is put a glass of water on the table. I don’t know the actual reason behind that but one of the reasons I think is that, when you are concentrating with your studies, your brain actually consumes a bigger amount of water in your body and as a result, you might get thirsty that you want to drink a glass of it.

Maybe, that idea is more of a practical reason but I know for sure that there is a health and psychological benefits behind that. Who knows?

Have you noticed that there is something in common with most of the establishments as of today whether it’s a Mall, Coffee Shop, Restaurant and even Hotels? You’re right! Almost all of them have a water fountain in front. Take note, not just a stagnant water but a free flowing water. This is because; it’s a belief that the free flowing of water brings luck to the business operation of the establishment.

Hence, the belief in water fountain is not just applicable to the business but also to houses to bring forth a good luck to the people who are living in it. Might as well consider installing a water features for the garden fountains as it is not just about the quality but also of its unique-elegant style.

I know that there is no such thing as luck. Because I believe that it can only be attained when there is an opportunity that comes and you are prepared and really worked hard for it, now that’s what I call believable luck! Moreover, Feng Shui and other beliefs are only there to serve as our guide to pursue those paths. (AAP)
